Car Soundproofing Process: Step by Step

Before soundproofing a car at BESTAUTO, we inspect it and discuss where noise enters the cabin. We can treat individual areas — doors, floor, trunk or wheel arches — or assess work across the whole car. The areas and materials depend on the vehicle.

How car soundproofing is done

1. Inspection and area selection. We discuss the noise source and agree on the scope of work.
2. Interior disassembly. We carefully remove the trim needed to reach the working surfaces.
3. Surface preparation. We clean and degrease the metal before applying materials.
4. Vibration damping and sound insulation. We apply suitable materials to the selected areas. The scope depends on the car and the agreed work.
5. Reassembly and inspection. We refit the removed elements and check the assembly.

These are the main stages of our car soundproofing service. The same materials and treated areas can perform differently in different vehicles.

Which areas should you choose?

Doors, floor, trunk and wheel arches relate to different noise sources. If one area is the main problem, it can be treated separately. If noise comes from several places, we can discuss a broader scope after inspection. We do not promise a specific decibel reduction in advance.

The full treatment is planned for the particular car: the roof, firewall and other additional areas are not automatically included. Agree areas, materials, disassembly, price and timing before installation. Individual-area prices are not added together to calculate the full quote.

Yes. Doors, floor, trunk or wheel arches can be chosen separately. An inspection helps identify the area relevant to your concern.

The result depends on the noise source, vehicle construction and areas treated. A specific reduction cannot be confirmed without measurement.
