Old window tint with bubbles, haze or lifting edges needs inspection. These signs do not establish the cause, remaining UV protection or the need for a complete replacement. For recently installed film, start with first-days care: residual installation moisture and an issue with old material are different situations.

Do not puncture bubbles or try to glue an edge back down. The IWFA inspection guideline accounts for residual moisture and drying conditions with fresh film. It does not identify every bubble as a confirmed defect.
