Keep your glass when repair is possible

Before and after repair

We fill the damage with clear resin to stabilise it and reduce its visibility. First, we check that repair is suitable for your glass.

A small chip and a long, branching crack need different approaches. Length is not the only factor.

Location

We consider the distance from the edge and the driver’s line of sight. Not every damaged area is suitable for repair.

Glass condition

Contamination and previous repair attempts can affect the result. If repair is unsuitable, we’ll tell you before starting.

Our repair process

From assessment to final inspection

Nine steps for chip and crack repair. No glass replacement when the damage is suitable for repair.

  1. Assessment

    We examine the type, depth and location of the damage, then agree the expected result and price.

  2. Cleaning

    We remove dust, moisture and contamination from the work area.

  3. Local preparation

    Where necessary, a small access point is drilled to reach the damage.

  4. Repair setup

    We prepare the area and position the resin injection equipment.

  5. Clear resin

    We fill the internal cavities of the chip or crack with repair resin.

  6. UV curing

    We cure the resin under ultraviolet light following the repair process.

  7. Surface finishing

    We remove excess material, smooth the surface and reduce the visibility of the repair.

  8. Quality check

    We check the filled damage and the appearance of the repaired area.

  9. Handover

    We show you the result and explain how to care for the glass.

Before your visit

Questions about glass repair

Can every crack be repaired?

No. Our price list covers cracks up to 15 cm and from 15 to 30 cm, but length alone does not determine repairability. Depth, branching, proximity to the edge, the driver’s line of sight and glass condition also matter. Photos help with an initial assessment; we make the final decision after inspection.

Will the damage disappear completely?

Resin filling usually makes the damage much less visible. A small mark may remain, depending on its shape, depth and contamination. We discuss the expected result before starting.

How long does repair take?

Chip repair usually takes 20–30 minutes. Crack repair time depends on the condition and scope of the damage. Your chosen studio will confirm the duration and appointment availability.

Why are these starting prices?

Cost depends on the size, complexity and condition of the damage. Chips up to 1 cm start at 60 GEL; 1–2 cm at 80 GEL. Cracks up to 15 cm start at 95 GEL; 15–30 cm at 140 GEL. We agree the final cost after a free inspection, before work.

Can polishing remove a crack or chip?

No. Polishing and grinding treat surface defects; resin repair treats damage within the glass. We choose the appropriate method after inspection. We cannot promise to remove deep scratches without assessing the glass.

Which photos should I send?

Take one photo of the whole windshield and a close-up of the damage in good light. Tell us its approximate size, when it appeared and whether the area has been repaired before. Choose a studio below and attach the photos in WhatsApp. Photos do not replace an in-person inspection.

Is the repair covered by a warranty?

We discuss the applicable warranty terms and expected result after assessing the specific damage, before work begins. Contact the studio that carried out the repair if you have questions about the result.

Do you offer mobile repairs or walk-ins?

We work at BESTAUTO studios in Tbilisi and do not offer mobile repairs. Message or call your preferred studio to arrange an inspection time. Sending a message alone does not confirm an appointment.
