Can windshield repair be done away from a studio?

Repair away from a studio is possible in suitable conditions and with the chosen repair system’s instructions followed. Conditions need assessing before work starts. At our studios, we inspect and prepare the damage, fill it with resin and check the result.

The ROLAGS windshield repair standard calls for inspecting the damage from both sides, removing moisture and contamination, bringing the glass into the repair system's working temperature range and checking the finished repair. Specific conditions depend on the materials manufacturer's instructions.

Can your windshield be repaired?

Location, size, branches, contamination and the driver's viewing area all matter. Some 15–30 cm cracks may be repairable after inspection, but length alone cannot decide; replacement is sometimes more sensible. If resin has already been applied, we assess any further work separately. We cannot promise an invisible mark or a fixed result duration before inspection.
